 United Supermarkets was founded by H.D. Snell in 1916 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Since then, United has grown to see 26 stores in 21 towns across the state. Through all the success and growth, United has stayed true to its roots with an emphasis on quality and service as well as a commitment to low everyday pricing. Being a family owned and operated chain since the beginning, we always try to make the customer feel at home for a pleasurable shopping experience. We call it the Personal Touch and you will only find it at United Supermarkets.
In 1916, H.D. Snell opened his first United Cash Store in Sayre, Oklahoma. By selling groceries for cash rather than credit,his customers got more without paying more.
One of H.D’s favorite sayings, “Quality and Price, they’re linked together, because you can’t have one without the other.” A legacy of principle that is today’s commitment to you, our loyal customers.
