Blood Pressure - It is important to make sure your blood pressure is at goal to help prevent complications, including heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and/or heart failure.
Cholesterol - Cholesterol is a normal part of your blood and cells that you get in two ways: your body makes some of it, and the rest is made from the foods you eat. While blood cholesterol is an important part of a healthy body, having cholesterol levels that are higher than target range may put you at greater risk for heart disease and stroke.
Blood Glucose - Blood glucose is the amount of glucose in your blood.. While everyone has glucose in their blood, people with diabetes have to manage how much they eat and know when to manage their blood sugars. Knowing your numbers can help you determine the next steps in what's best for you.
A1C - The A1C test is a common blood test used to diagnose type 1 and type 2 diabetes and then to gauge how well you’re managing your diabetes. The A1C test goes by many other names, including glycated hemoglobin, glycosylated hemoglobin, hemoglobin A1C and HbA1c.
The A1C test result reflects your average blood sugar level for the past two to three months. Specifically, the A1C test measures what percentage of your hemoglobin - a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen - is coated with sugar (glycated). The higher your A1C level, the poorer your blood sugar control and the higher your risk of diabetes complications.
Health Screenings are available to ages 18 and over at Homeland Pharmacy during normal pharmacy hours. Test results are not for diagnostic or treatment purposes and are not conclusive as to the absence or presence of any health condition. Recipients are encouraged to report test results to their primary care physician. Pharmacist consultation with patient does not constitute medical advice.

Your pharmacist reviews all your prescriptions, vitamins, herbals, supplements and other over-the-counter medications, identifies any duplications or conflicts, and helps you organize your medications.
